Superfoods at HANOJU – natural variety for everyday life

by Dirk Boerger on September 19, 2026

When we at HANOJU talk about superfoods, we mean one thing above all: natural foods and plant products with special constituents that can be easily integrated into everyday life. That is why our superfood section contains a wide range of products – from seeds and algae to roots and fruit extracts.

It is important to us to offer the widest possible selection. After all, not every superfood suits every person or every diet. Some products work well in the kitchen, while others are particularly practical as powders, capsules or tablets.

What are superfoods, actually?

The term "superfood" has no clear scientific definition. In everyday life, it is usually used for foods that, due to their natural composition, contain interesting amounts of certain nutrients, secondary plant compounds or other natural components.

These can include, for example, seeds, berries, algae, plant roots or certain fruits.

At HANOJU, we would like the term to be understood mainly as a collective name for a diverse selection of natural products. In doing so, we look at the origin, the raw materials used and the respective processing.

Superfoods are more than just a trend

Many of the plants and foods referred to as superfoods today are by no means new. Chia seeds, maca, spirulina and chlorella, for example, have been used in different regions of the world for a long time.

What has changed is mainly the way these foods are offered here. Powders, capsules and tablets make it easier to incorporate certain plant-based raw materials into your personal everyday life.

It is precisely this combination of traditional foods and modern processing that we find interesting about our superfood selection.

Spirulina and chlorella – algae as superfoods

Part of our superfood section consists of microalgae. These include spirulina and chlorella, among others.

At HANOJU you will find, for example, organic spirulina tablets with Spirulina platensis algae powder and organic chlorella tablets with Chlorella pyrenoidosa algae powder. Both products are offered in tablet form and are therefore easy to portion.

Although spirulina and chlorella both belong to the algae products, they are not the same. They differ in their biological classification and their natural composition, among other things.

If you are interested in algae as part of your diet, you can therefore choose between different products with us.

Chia seeds – easy to integrate into your daily diet

Chia is also one of the well-known superfoods. In our section, for example, we carry organic chia seeds in different pack sizes.

Chia seeds come from the plant Salvia hispanica. They can be used in muesli, yoghurt, smoothies or other dishes, for example. We find foods like this particularly interesting because they don't necessarily have to be seen as a classic food supplement, but can be integrated directly into your diet.

Maca – a versatile root

Another focus of our superfood selection is maca. The root comes from the Andes and is now available in various forms.

At HANOJU, we carry red, black and yellow maca, among others, as well as combinations of different maca varieties. Depending on the product, we offer maca as a powder, in capsules or as tablets. Organic qualities are also part of our range.

The different varieties show that not all superfoods are the same. Even within a single plant species, different varieties and processing forms can be offered.

Camu camu – the fruit from South America

Camu camu is also part of our superfood selection. The fruit Myrciaria dubia originally comes from South America and is known above all for its natural vitamin C content.

At HANOJU, we offer camu camu as an extract in capsules, among other forms. With products like this, it is always worth taking a look at the exact product description, because with an extract it is not simply the original amount of fruit that matters. The concentration of certain constituents and the recommended daily portion also play a role.

Powder, capsules or tablets?

A question we come across again and again with superfoods is which form is the right one.

Powders are particularly suitable for anyone who wants to stir a product into drinks, smoothies or food. Capsules and tablets, on the other hand, are practical if an uncomplicated and precisely defined portion is preferred.

That is why we at HANOJU offer many superfoods in different forms. This way everyone can decide for themselves which variant best suits their own habits.

Organic superfoods at HANOJU

An important part of our selection are products from controlled organic farming. These include, for example, organic chia seeds, organic spirulina, organic chlorella and various organic maca products.

With organic products, we of course pay attention to the corresponding labelling. Especially if you regularly use plant-based foods and food supplements, the origin of the raw materials can be an important selection criterion.

Our superfood section grows with the variety

Our superfood category contains many different products and product forms. In addition to the items mentioned, other natural raw materials and combinations are also part of our range. The current section includes several dozen products.

We don't simply want to put as many products side by side as possible. It is important to us that the individual products are clearly described and that our customers know what is actually in them.

That is why, with every superfood, it is worth taking a close look at the ingredients, origin, form and recommended intake.

Discover superfoods at HANOJU

We see superfoods as a varied addition to a conscious diet – not as a replacement for a diverse choice of foods.

Whether chia seeds for the kitchen, algae in tablet form, maca as a powder or capsules, or camu camu as an extract: at HANOJU there are many ways to get to know different natural products.

If you browse through our superfood section, you can compare the different products directly and choose the variant that best suits your own eating habits. For us, transparent product information and the widest possible selection of natural raw materials are the priority.
