For us, salt is one of the most natural everyday foods. Whether for cooking, seasoning or certain uses outside the kitchen, the right type and grain size matter.
With our granulated crystal salt 1000 g, grain size 1–3 mm, we offer a crystal salt from the Salt Range in Pakistan, a foothill range of the Himalayas. The salt is mined there and then prepared for further use.
When people talk about "Himalayan salt", it is easy to get the impression that the salt is mined directly in the Himalayan mountains. In fact, our crystal salt comes from the so-called Salt Range in Pakistan. This is a mountainous region and a foothill range of the Himalayas.
The salt deposits there formed over very long periods of time. The salt originates from ancient seas whose deposits, over the course of the earth's history, became today's salt deposits through geological processes.
The name "Himalayan salt" should therefore be understood mainly as a common marketing name. For us, the actual origin is more important: our crystal salt comes from the mines of the Salt Range in Pakistan.
Our crystal salt is granulated and has a grain size of 1–3 mm. This places it between very fine salt and coarser salt crystals.
This grain size makes the salt versatile. It can be used in the kitchen for seasoning food, for example, and is easy to portion thanks to its even grain size.
Especially for everyday cooking, it is practical if salt is neither too fine nor too coarse. The 1–3 mm grain size offers an uncomplicated option for various uses.
The list of ingredients is deliberately short:
Ingredient: crystal salt, granulated
Our product therefore consists of the stated crystal salt and contains no artificial flavourings or preservatives. It is also lactose-free, gluten-free, soy-free, gelatine-free, nut-free and GMO-free.
As with any salt, total daily salt intake should of course be taken into account. The World Health Organization recommends that adults consume less than 5 grams of salt per day. This includes the total amount of salt from food and drinks, not just the salt we add ourselves when cooking.
Crystal salt can have different shades. Depending on the deposit and composition, crystals may appear whitish, pink or reddish.
For us, these natural differences in colour are part of the character of a crystal salt. The appearance of individual salt crystals may therefore vary.
We deliberately refrain from deriving any special health properties from the colour. What matters to us is rather the origin of the raw material and its use as salt.
The classic use of our granulated crystal salt is, of course, in the kitchen. It can be used to season vegetables, salads, soups, meat and fish dishes or other foods.
In addition, crystal salt is also traditionally used for bathing and body care. Depending on personal preference, the salt can therefore be used for more than just cooking.
For use outside the kitchen, you should of course make sure that the product is suitable for the respective purpose.
With our crystal salt, the focus is on a simple product idea: a naturally occurring crystal salt from the Salt Range, in a practical grain size of 1–3 mm and with a content of 1000 g.
With products like this in particular, we think a simple composition is important. That is why the list of ingredients contains exactly what you would expect: granulated crystal salt.
The 1000 g pack is also ideal for anyone who uses salt regularly in the kitchen and would like to keep a larger supply at home.
At HANOJU, we pay attention to transparent information on ingredients, content and use for our products. For our granulated crystal salt 1000 g, the origin from the Salt Range in Pakistan is just as central as the 1–3 mm grain size.
Whether for seasoning in the kitchen, for selected uses in the bath or for body care – crystal salt can be used in many ways.
The same applies here, too: salt is a food that should be used consciously and in appropriate amounts. The WHO recommends a daily salt intake of less than 5 g for adults.
Original HANOJU stands for service and quality. If you have any questions about our crystal salt or any other product in our range, feel free to write to us. We will take the time to answer your questions.
